Consortium
COPA EUROPE benefits from an industry-led consortium comprised of ten (10) partners from six (6) European countries. All partners have high innovation capabilities related to the COPA EUROPE objectives in the defined scientific, technological , and business scenarios. In particular, the following groups of partners are included:
Seven (7) for-profit organisations , split into four SMEs (eBOS Technologies, VITEC Gmbh, EKTACOM, LiveU Ltd. ) and three industrial organisations (WORLDLINE IBERIA SA, IBM ISRAEL - SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY LTD, Forthnet), which will introduce novel tools and services , provide support to the overall project deployment, UX design, integration , and validation towards enriching the project’s solutions, as well as towards facilitating the early introduction of the developed project solutions in the relevant markets
Two (2) technical research and academic partners (Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas, Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications, Heinrich Hertz Institute, HHI), who will contribute required state-of-the art knowledge and technological expertise, in order to support the technologies vital for the success of the COPA EUROPE project.

Coordinator
Worldline is the European leader in the payment and transactional services industry, and participates in COPA EUROPE through its Mobile Competence Centre, the partner for all Worldline projects in mobile solutions and digital enablers around mobile, worldwide. Worldline is the coordinator of the project, overseeing the smooth progression of COPA EUROPE and managing its administrative aspects. From a technical perspective, Worldline leads the platform integration and testing, ensuring the smooth integration of the developed technology, and provides a significant contribution to the project blockchain technologies, in particular media tokenization aspects, rewarding systems and blockchain analytics. Additionally, Worldline contributes to the system architecture design, graphic design and visualization tools. Finally, Worldline leads the market analysis and commercialization aspects of the project.
Consortium
The Human Computer Interaction (HCI) Laboratory of ICS-FORTH has undertaken the Technical and Scientific Management of the COPA EUROPE project, through which it will be responsible for the technical development of the project, as well as its scientific validation. Furthermore, it will lead the development effort on the COPA EUROPE transmedia storytelling components as well as the Projects’ adaptive and personalized immersive visualization playout platforms. Moreover, the HCI Lab of ICS-FORTH will have significant contribution to the Projects’ user requirements analysis, platform specification, design and development, as well as the COPA EUROPE Application Framework, and in particular to the development of the Use Case specific applications comprised of modules that combine User interfaces, widgets and server APIs.
Innovations for the digital society of the future are the focus of research and development work at the Fraunhofer HHI. In this area, the HHI is a world leader in the development for mobile and optical communication networks and systems as well as processing and coding of video signals. Together with international partners from research and industry, the HHI works in the whole spectrum of digital infrastructure – from fundamental research to the development of prototypes and solutions. Within the COPA EUROPE project, the HHI will be responsible for providing access to the newly built 5G Berlin testbed, which contains the latest commercial 5G hardware as well as experimental components. Furthermore, the HHI will develop a practical federated learning solution for a recommender system, leveraging and further building upon state-of-the-art neural network compression technology as well as further researching clustered federated learning techniques to increase personalization.
Nova is one of the largest alternative fixed operators that provides broadband and pay TV services in Greece. Using state‐of‐the‐art technologies and fully exploiting its knowhow, Forthnet offers a set of individual or bundled fixed telephony, broadband internet and TV‐content services, to customers, enterprises and Public Bodies throughout Greece.
Forthnet utilizes and integrates technological solutions on the basis of the latest telecommunications and transmission infrastructure to develop and provide new services on its network and beyond. Forthnet has started providing OTT Content services, targeting also mobile devices, aiming to strength its position by providing enhanced applications and services.
Forhtnet will lead the project media test trials During the trial a specific set of KPIs will be tested and evaluated. Evaluation will be made by both Forthnet engineers and business owners in order to acquire a 3600 view of the COPA EUROPE outcome potential. Toward this end, Forthnet will also provide legacy sports (football) matches to train the various ML/DL/FL algorithms.
eBOS Technologies Limited (eBOS) is an innovative and client-focused Information Technology SME software house with head offices in Cyprus and branch offices in Ireland and the UK. eBOS is responsible for coordinating the design and the implementation of COPA EUROPE’s communication strategy and plan. It has the responsibility of the project’s website and social networks accounts. It has the responsibility of participating in at least 2 industrial exhibitions and conferences per year, whilst liaising in parallel with relevant European Technology Platforms and other relevant European cPPPs eBOS is supporting the elaboration of compelling innovative evidence-based business plans and models and it leads the task related to the project’s innovation and IPR activities and the task related to business innovation ecosystems and collaboration with STARTS networks. It is also the ethical & legal manager of the project and it supports the technical works for the development of dashboards, APIs, systems integration and the execution of the use cases.

As a partner of the Consortium, VITEC brings its industrial experience to the table. In the project, VITEC is responsible for the recording of video streams and the video asset management system which archives the content and offers the possibility to enrich it with metadata. VITEC also researches and develops in the field of artificial intelligence not only for object and scene detection but also for semantic metadata creation.
